Meet The Team

Dr. Fitch opened his first practice in Encinitas, CA in 1990 and practiced there until early 2012, when he and his wife moved to the Central coast to enjoy the beauty it offers and to be closer to family. They opened their lovely new office Broad St Smiles in San Luis Obispo in January 2013.

Always wanting to remain on the leading edge of his profession, Dr. Fitch has pursued countless hours of post-graduate education at some of the finest institutions in the country. He has completed a mini residency in aesthetic dentistry at UCLA and is a Fellow of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a world-renowned center for the study of both neuromuscular and aesthetic dentistry. Dr. Fitch attained fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1993.

Originally from Indiana, Dr Fitch moved to So. California and spent 3 years in the Navy as a dentist. He transitioned to private practice in Encinitas, CA then eventually moved to Arroyo Grande where he loves living with his wife Jackie. Four of their five sons and their families live in the Carlsbad area, and one in Santa Barbara. When he is not working, he enjoys hiking, golf & working in the garden.

Melissa is from southern California and graduated from USC with a BS in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She loves forming relationships with patients as well as improving their oral and overall health. Aside from working with her team at Broad St Smiles, she enjoys reading, being outside, and spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and pets. She is known for her friendly personality and gentle touch.

Kila has called the Central Coast her home since 1998, serving the area as a RDH since 2005. Dedicated and meticulous, she enjoys getting to know each of her patients and helping them achieve their healthiest smile. Outside of the office, Kila enjoys yoga, skiing, hiking and being active outdoors with her husband and two young boys.

Monica has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1995.  Making patients smile is her passion!  She loves what she does and enjoys being part of the team at Broad St Smiles because they are all experienced professionals but also caring & fun. She grew up locally in the North County and in her spare time she enjoys being with her family and animals on their ranch.   

Audrey’s dental career started in high school when she interned for her pediatric dentist in Buffalo Grove, IL.   After college she went on to dental hygiene school in Santa Rosa, CA.  She decided to relocate to the Central Coast after a few years as a hygienist in the Bay Area, She is so glad she made the move!  She has been a great addition to our team.  In her spare time Audrey enjoys concerts, reading, and Jeopardy.

In 2011, Bea graduated from the Allan Hancock RDA program. Bea found her niche helping patients in the front office and became a crucial part of the team as the Office Manager at Broad St Smiles. In her free time, Bea loves spending time with friends and family, laughing together, and pursuing her creative interests by making various crafts.

In 1992, Crystal graduated from the RDA program and has dedicated her career to dentistry ever since. Over the years, she has been amazed by the field’s remarkable evolution. When not immersed in her dental work, Crystal finds joy in attending concerts and cherishing quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Laurie is a Central Coast native who has been in the dental field since 2008. She originally went to school to be a dental assistant, but has spent her career working up at the front. In her free time she likes to spend time with her husband, daughter and dog Fizzgig. She also enjoys swimming, going to concerts, being at the beach, and roller skating.
