Total Smile Rejuvenation
Do you have a lot of trouble with your teeth? Do you have missing, chipped, decayed and stained teeth or old unattractive crowns and fillings? Is your bite uncomfortable or are you just unhappy with your smile?
Full-Mouth Restoration is a solution for anyone whose smile seems beyond help. It is the individual re-creation of each tooth in a mouth allowing us to make astonishing repairs. Full-mouth restoration enhances the appearance of the smile and corrects imperfections in bite position. Chipped, short, or worn-down teeth can be repaired and restored with full-mouth restoration. Missing teeth can be replaced with dental implants and restored with beautiful, natural looking crowns. Combining the art of cosmetic dentistry with the technology of neuromuscular dentistry, full-mouth restoration lets you finally have a smile that is both beautiful and a bite that is comfortable. Starting with the techniques of neuromuscular dentistry, we measure your jaw to determine a comfortable muscle position. The process involves using a sophisticated computer program to record and define muscle activity in various jaw positions.
Using this information, we can find the most relaxed position of your jaw for comfort and aesthetics. Stimulation and relaxation of the jaw muscles using TENS can be quite helpful. The TENS is a low level impulse machine that exercises the jaw muscles and releases lactic acid built up from overusing muscles in the wrong position. This technology helps us relax the jaw muscle to find your comfortable bite. This may be combined with the use of an orthotic to gently move the jaw into its normal position. An orthotic is an appliance that helps move or build your bite to a relaxed resting position.
The last stage of the full-mouth restoration is the application of a full set of crowns, onlays or veneers. This portion of the restoration can begin when your jaw has finally come to its ideal position. The use of porcelain crowns and veneers raises your teeth into the optimal position and keeps them there. This not only relieves the painful symptoms of malocclusion but it also restores the appearance of your teeth to their youthful beauty. Our patients love their new smiles and they look so natural that others cannot distinguish the real teeth from the restored teeth.
