Start with an examination and cleaning. Most dental plans allow two per year. If you’re due and have one remaining take advantage of the opportunity before year-end.

Dental sealants are another preventive dentistry procedure. This treatment helps prevent tooth decay. And it’s especially recommended for your children’s teeth.

Restorative dental care

Untreated tooth damage or decay can cause a variety of oral health issues, including periodontal (gum) disease. Dental crowns, dental fillings, and dental implants are effective restorative dentistry procedures that your unused insurance benefits could cover.

Bottom-line: inventory your dental insurance benefits. And prioritize your oral health between now and end-of-year by using them for treatment.
